A Neighbourhood Café in the Heart of Drumcondra

The Lovely Food Company is a neighbourhood café and restaurant in the heart of Drumcondra, a short walk from Croke Park and two doors from our sister café, Bread & Butter. We’re open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch, with speciality coffee from our baristas all day.

We cook with Irish produce from suppliers we know by name: award-winning sausages from P O’Connell, black and white pudding from Dunnes of Wicklow, and free range eggs from Annalitten in Co. Monaghan. Sit inside or out, catch up with friends over brunch, fuel up before a match at Croke Park, or stop in on your way to the airport. Dogs and families are welcome too: see our dog friendly café page, which also has Lovely Little Club for mums and little ones on Wednesday mornings and The Lovely Book Club.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings the café becomes The Lovely Wine Bar, with small plates and wines chosen with our local wine shop, Pinto Wines.

Private Hire and Events

Planning a party, a work breakfast or a group brunch? Contact us about booking the café for your event. We also do private hire in the evenings, for up to 30 guests seated or 40 standing.

Breakfast is served until 12.30 on weekdays and 1pm at the weekend. Start the day with The Lovely Irish, made with free range eggs, Wicklow black and white pudding and award-winning sausages, or keep it light with our house granola and yoghurt. There’s a vegetarian Irish too, and speciality coffee from our baristas to go with it.

At lunch there are salads, soup of the day, and sourdough sandwiches and tartines made with Irish ingredients. At the weekend, catch up with friends over pancakes, eggs Benedict and a glass of Prosecco.
